Raw Brigade - Kicking Your Face EP

Coucou, les chaton.ne.s! We're back with another quick update. Due to some technical issues retrieving data from my PCs hard disks, the next entry of our 80s ex-yugoslavian hardcore punk special post will be pushed until next week. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, we'll feature Raw Brigade's most recent EP named Kicking Your Face, which physical edition is expected to be released this summer (between july and august, if I'm not mistaken). I'll obviously upload it when I get it.

Now, Raw Brigade, also one of our colombian best picks of 2017, once again surprise us with this superb record. This time, their sound has matured and is more polished than ever. Indeed, you'll find more evident traces of classic NYHC sound (Cro-Mags, early Sick Of It All, Warzone, Beyond, Bold, etc.) with more complex guitar riffs and solos and slower yet overwhelming breakdowns. Even there are slight teasing with thrashcore for finishing some tracks. Also, all the lyrics are written in english with a more defiant and outspoken stances about life inside and outside the hardcore scene. And, of course, straight edge philosophy is remarked too.

Finally, click on the image for listening to this marvelous work. If you're in the US, don't miss out their tour starting in july. They'll also perform at This Is Hardcore in late july, making of Raw Brigade the first colombian hardcore band participating to this important event (kudos for that, les chaton.ne.s!). I'll leave the official flyer below. I suggest to follow their official Facebook page for getting to know the dates. Highly recommended. For fans of The Flex (UK), Raw Justice (France) and Rotting Out (USA). Another candidate for our colombian best picks of this year. Enjoy and until next time. Kisses and hugs!
